Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Ben’s Thrilling Rematch Set for November 15th

The highly anticipated rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is scheduled for November 15th at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the UK. This was announced Tuesday evening by the leaders of the General Entertainment Bureau and the Saudi Boxing Federation.

Their first encounter happened on April 26th, witnessed by a crowd of 67,484. Eubank Jr. secured a victory via unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-111 in his favor. Benn, who moved down from 160 pounds to challenge Eubank Jr., believed he had done enough to win but suffered the first defeat of his career, bringing his record to 23-1 with 14 knockouts.

A dramatic moment unfolded before the first fight when Eubank Jr. entered the arena alongside his father. Despite taking a severe hit from Benn in the eighth round, Eubank Jr. regained control and ultimately kept Benn at bay to preserve his win.

The rivalry between the two families dates back over 35 years to when their fathers—Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn—clashed in a middleweight bout on November 18, 1990. That fierce competition was extended with a rematch in 1993, which ended in a split draw.

The current generation of fighters has kept the intensity alive, though Benn’s family is still searching for their first win in this trilogy, standing at 0-2-1. The upcoming fight, promoted by Serra, is set to be contested at 160 pounds.

Fan Take: This rematch is a must-watch for fight enthusiasts as it not only continues a legendary family rivalry but also promises high-level action that could reshape the middleweight division. The outcome could redefine both fighters’ legacies and inject new excitement into boxing’s competitive landscape.
