Tickets are now available for the eagerly awaited Detroit Red Wings Red & White Game, scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 21st at Van Andel Arena. This event marks the first time since 2011 that the Red Wings will host their intra-squad scrimmage in Grand Rapids, played in partnership with their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Fans will get to see some of the biggest names in the NHL, including Lucas Raymond, Patrick Kane, and Alex DeBrincat, alongside standout Red Wings players and former Griffins like Moritz Seider, Dylan Larkin, Simon Edvinsson, and Marco Kasper. The game serves as the finale for Detroit’s 2025 training camp, bridging the gap between the Traverse City sessions and the start of the NHL preseason. It is expected that all healthy players from the camp roster will participate, making it a rare opportunity for West Michigan fans to see the full Red Wings lineup in action.
The Red & White Game consists of two 20-minute periods, followed by a shootout. More details about a special pre-game festival will be shared soon. This will be the fifth time Van Andel Arena hosts the Red & White Game, with previous events held in 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2011, and a fan event called “Wings for Lunch” took place there in 2007.
Tickets range from $28 to $63, with an extra $3 per ticket charged for purchases on game day, and are available at griffinshockey.com.
Fan Take: This event is a golden opportunity for hockey fans to witness the next generation of talent and the full Red Wings roster in a unique, community-centered setting. It not only excites the local fan base but also strengthens the connection between the NHL team and its AHL affiliate, fostering the growth of hockey in the region.
