Garnacho, guarantee
The start of the new Premier League season doesn’t coincide with the end of the summer transfer period, but it’s fair to say that some major Sagas could speed up.
Here Catch off side We frequently consult with industry sources and work with the most trusted journalists such as Fabrizio Romano and Christian Falk to provide you with the most trusted latest transfer news and help you understand the market.
With that in mind, there are some latest views of some of the 12 biggest sagas to be resolved soon, including insight into the Liverpool situation for Alexander Isaac and the impending deal between Manchester United and Chelsea…
Alexander Isaac
What has happened so far?
Liverpool refused a £110 million bid, according to BBC Sports, but Alexander Isaac also returned to Newcastle United Training recently after informing the club of his desire to leave.
Swedish international, eager to Liverpool, Saudi Arabia, was also interested in Saudi Arabia, but nothing concrete, but it is not currently considered serious consideration of leaving Europe.
It is also well known that Isak was previously on the radar of other top clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea, but there is less optimism that Newcastle’s demands will allow for deals.
What could happen next?
At the time of writing, it doesn’t seem to be a big development, but I’m totally hoping that Liverpool will improve its offer.
Fabrizio Romano spoke on his YouTube channel about LFC being serious about Isak, saying, “We’re here. We’re ready. We have money. We’re ready to do the important things,” he said on his YouTube channel.
Romano is not for sensationalism. If you’re getting signs that Liverpool still wants Isaac and they have the money to buy the deal, that’s definitely something to watch.
Newcastle’s pursuit of new strikers is a reasonable clue that they are not supplying the bank exactly to maintain the star players, but rather keeping the bank even more about it.
Back seat
What has happened so far?
Catch off sideInformation earlier this summer was that Arsenal agreed to the first part of Ebeki Eze’s payment terms with Crystal Palace.
This was checked by multiple trusted sources, but the saga that could occur when various moving parts were involved dragged out.
Alternatively, other sources such as The Times and Football Transfer suggest that Gunners * will bid soon, but this is not the case.
The reality is that clubs rarely table official bids until there is already some indication during the initial discussion of what bids are realistically accepted.
Our information leaves Arsenal encouraged to trade Eze, but read more about why it is dragged towards the edge of the window.
What could happen next?
At this point, there is no specific guarantee as to where Eze will play football after the September 1 deadline, but Arsenal definitely wants a player.
Arsenal’s intention was always to negotiate.
As others reported, the Palace was clear up ahead of time about expecting £305 million, but other sources have also dumped figures close to £40 million. Both of these will be difficult for Arsenal.
Keep an eye out for players selling at Emirates Stadium. Cashing money to players like LeandroTrossard and Fabio Vieira allows the club to enter the final stages of Eze negotiations with a little more financial leeway.
Benjamin Sesco
What has happened so far?
This has accelerated over the past few days, with Manchester United now reporting broadly that Benjamin Sesco has concluded with around 75 million euros plus 10 million euros with add-ons.
It is understood that despite interest as Newcastle is also preparing to swap Isaac in advance, Sesco has never given the Magpie his green light in personal terms.
Arsenal also held talks over Sesco early in the summer, but struggled to reach a compromise with RB Leipzig and instead signed Victor Gjoker from Sports Lisbon.
Sesko was approached last summer by all three, Arsenal, United and Chelsea, but at the time he decided to stay in Leipzig for another year.
What could happen next?
The final round of negotiations is still between United and Leipzig, but Sesco’s mind is made up and he is waiting for permission to complete the move.
As Fabrizio Romano reported in the X post below, Sesko is now training away from Leipzig’s teammates, so he travels to United for medical care and is waiting to be given a green light to sign the contract…
Xavi Simons
What has happened so far?
As reported first Catch off side A few weeks ago, Xavi Simons agents contacted three London clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, with the view that they would be transferring to the Premier League.
The Netherlands International is always planning to leave Leipzig this summer, Fabrizio Romano said Catch off side Barcelona and Bayern Munich were also options for him.
When these options became less realistic, the move to the UK became a clear priority, and Chelsea now has become a pole position to bring Simons from Leipzig.
What could happen next?
This has become a bit quieter in the last few days. This can happen when the final process of transfer negotiations is dragged a little. Also see Viktor Gyoker’s final week of speech between sports and sports.
While the majority of the contract may take place, Leipzig is paying close attention to how he does business as selling talented young players is an important part of the model.
Sesko sales are also ongoing, which may have slowed things down with the Simons, but expectations remain that he will soon become a Chelsea player.
Alejandro Garnacho
What has happened so far?
As Fabrizio Romano posted today, both the Simons and Alejandro Garnacho deals remain on the Chelsea agenda…
Garnacho’s future at Man UTD has been pretty clear for some time since the thinly covered explosion of Argentina International after not winning so many minutes in the final Europa League defeat to Tottenham.
Red Devils boss Reuben Amorim was open to Garnacho sales and understood as Chelsea’s strongest, so there was no shortage of interest.
Additionally, sources have confirmed that the 21-year-old’s preference is always to remain in the Premier League, and is a bit of a starter for other suitors like Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen.
What could happen next?
This has not yet reached a specific stage, but Garnacho is understood to be keen on a potential move to Chelsea and is waiting for them to step up negotiations with United.
This can happen once Simons’ deal is finalized, but it’s worth noting that other British suitors such as Aston Villa.
In any case, the Red Devils’ asking price may need to drop amid a complex report that costs the Red Devils in the range of £300,000-£600,000, but it appears very unlikely that Garnacho will still be in Old Trafford’s book within a few weeks.
Mark Guech
What has happened so far?
In fact, it’s not that much. For all the noise around Mark Guech this summer, he is nowhere nearer to movement than any point in the window.
There are interests from Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea, but all three clubs have worked on other priorities up until now.
Guehi is open to leaving the palace, but his club clearly did not sell, so it basically stops a bit until, or until, if so, the suitor is taking a specific offer.
What could happen next?
There is all the chance that Guehi will be staying at Selhurst Park. He is currently not expected to push his movement hard, even if it becomes his preference.
England International was also in the final year of his contract, and the club is unlikely to significantly reduce offers this summer.
Ibrahima Conate
What has happened so far?
Last month, our information was that Konate’s Ibrahima rejected the latest offer for Liverpool’s new contract. This has renewed interest from Real Madrid and led to a sense that the Spanish giants could accelerate consultations for him this summer.
Our colleague Christian Faulk later played down the link between Conate and Bayern Munich.
With Connect’s contract finished next summer, things may not be really accelerating as expected due to the willingness to wait for real clubs and other clubs to become free agents.
What could happen next?
As things stand, it’s hard to see Conate stay in Liverpool, but the Reds seem to keep him and are willing to run him through the contract.
There were no indications of consultations with Madrid or any other club. The fact that the LFC has not strengthened their interest in Guehi suggests that they are currently planning for Konate and the upcoming season.
Things can change rapidly in the transfer market, but the most likely outcome at this point is that Conate will move to the Bernabéu for free next summer.
Rodrigo is going
What has happened so far?
The saga lasted for a while, but despite a lot of speculation, what was going on was not so clear.
We have frequently consulted multiple sources to try and try to get clearer photos.
What seems obvious is that Arsenals like Rodrigo go, but for many reasons it is not necessarily as their top priority (see Eze).
Rodrigo’s wage demands are very high, as communicated through intermediaries, leading to cooling interest in players who aren’t necessarily looking for moves anyway.
Brazil International wants to play regularly and has told Xabi Alonso about this, but he has not yet said he is eager to move anyone at the club. Madrid accepts sales at a reasonable price, but it doesn’t actively push players out the door.
What could happen next?
It’s all stagnated a bit, so for now, something big will have to change for Rodrigo to have a scenario other than staying where he is.
The player can ask for an exit, or at least a loan, but until that happens, this suggests that this is probably content for him to fight for his place on Alonso’s part.
If Arsenal can’t agree to Eze’s deal, this will probably be something to watch again, but not unless Rodrigo lowers his wage demands.
The most recent link to Liverpool was not available in any of our sources.

Nicholas Jackson
What has happened so far?
The main thing that happened is that Chelsea signed two new strikers this summer, bringing in Liam Dellup and Joa Pedro.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that Chelsea is eager to sell Jackson, but the latest information we received this morning is that an exit looks likely to happen.
Jackson is offered to clubs including Arsenal, but so far there have been no Takers. The Bruce previously wanted £80 million (but not the slightly crazy £100 million figure others reported).
What could happen next?
The main teams to watch now are Newcastle and Aston Villa, even if nothing has progressed.
A few initial contacts were made, and Newcastle moved to the target of other strikers after missing Sesco. Meanwhile, Villa boss Unai Emery knows Jackson from being with him at Villarreal and will be eager to meet again.
Catch off side However, we understand that permanent transfers at this stage look complicated for villas as they must be sold before purchasing for PSR reasons.
Ollie Watkins
What has happened so far?
Speaking of players Villa can sell, Ollie Watkins could be something to watch with a lot of interest in him this summer.
Nothing has happened yet, but I know Arsenal refused Watkins’ bid in January. And he was still considering with the Emirates this summer, just in case both Gyoker and Sesco fail.
Since then, he has been interested mainly from Man United from Ruben Amorim, as he has been keen to sign a proven and experienced Premier League player this summer, as evidenced by the moves of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
What could happen next?
However, United’s Christopher Vibel has prioritized signing Sesco, a player he is well-known to, and the deal is nearly complete.
It is also important to note that since Watkins is unlikely to move to Old Trafford, our sources have repeatedly emphasized that the villa doesn’t want to sell.
Still, the PSR issues in the villa are not gone, so even if it’s not necessarily Watkins, it could mean one famous sale.
Rasmus Hojlund
What has happened so far?
Although Rasmus Hojlund is understood to be available for around £30 million, he also conveys his desire to stay a little longer at United.
There hasn’t been anything particularly specific up until now, but I recognize that I am interested in the Bundesliga and Serie A clubs.
This was not a solid negotiation or an offer was made. It may be because Hojlund’s camp has not lured interest for a while due to its desire to stay and fight for the aspect of Reuben Amorim.
What could happen next?
Mufc probably won’t force Hojlund, but Sesko’s imminent arrival may give them the opportunity to emphasize that Hojlund is not in their plans.
It’s certainly hard to imagine Danish International getting a lot of playing time next season, so this could be one of those situations where players are ultimately tempted by slow loan moves.
Antony
What has happened so far?
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Antony is one of the many players on sale at United, but so far it has not guided anything concrete.
The Brazilian winger did well with loan spells at Real Betis late last season, but the permanent deal seems too expensive for La Liga outfits.
Since then, there have been temporary ties between Türkiye and the Saudi Arabian club, but nothing has come to fruition so far.
What could happen next?
Ultimately, expecting an offer to come for Antony, and he wants United to sell, even if it means (probably) a big loss for what he paid him.
Keep an eye out for his old manager, Eric Teng Hug. But for now, it’s difficult to call your final destination.
