Wolverhampton Wanderers is imminent on the offer of an “unstopped” striker, but could reach 50 million euros (£43 million), according to the report.
Wolves remain eager to enhance their attack options
Despite already adding John Arias, Fel Lopez and Jorgen Strand Larsen to his team this summer, Vittle Pereira remains keen to bring in another centre forward that could raise concerns about the future of Norwegian striker.
However, reporter Liam Keene quickly pointed out that the old gold holds their hard-hit stance despite interest from one of their Premier League rivals. “Wolves who want to sign a striker do not mean selling Jorgenstrandlersen.
“The Norwegian has been appointed to Newcastle, but the wolf’s attitude is the remainder of him not being sold.”
The 25-year-old was a source of reliable goals for Pereira’s part last season, and found the backstage of the net in 14 times on 35 Premier League outings, so it’s good news that he doesn’t plan on cashing in this summer.
However, another striker could be on his way to Molineux. It has recently been revealed that wolves are considering the move of FC Nantes’ Matthis Abline.
According to a report by Le Parisien (Sport Witness), Wolverhampton Wanderlers are currently expected to offer endless offers, but the French side is backed by a fee of 50 million euros (£43 million), which could be a costly operation.
Also, FC Paris is eager to compete for a centre-forward signing, but the newly estimated League One side is not planning to offer more than 20 million euros.
Paying the Paris asking price in full should be encouraging for the wolves, but it is also unclear whether they are willing to pay £43 million to complete the transaction.
“Unstoppable” Abrine could be better in Molinaw
Journalist Andres Onruvia Ramos highly praised the 22-year-old forward, saying: “It’s incredible that there’s no Abline talented striker on top flights in Europe. He’s one of the few that he’s ever able to redeem from a French U21 match against Portugal.
“His technique is very sophisticated and when he goes, he’s unstoppable and he can play as No. 9 and on the right.”
Not only that, France U21 International enjoyed the best campaign ever in the 2024-25 season, earning 11 goals and two assists in 36 matches for Nantes in all competitions.
That said, signing a new striker is not a priority given Pereira’s already free to use Larsen. And given that Old Gold shipped out a whopping 69 Premier League goals last season, it may be time to bolster at centre-back.
