Liverpool hopes to sign Crystal Palace defender Mark Guech during the summer transfer period.
According to David Ornstein of The New York Times, the two clubs are currently trapped in talks over the 25-year-old’s move.
Mark Guehe is passionate about big movements
Guehi has finished his contract next summer and Crystal Palace is under pressure to sell him. They wouldn’t want to lose his quality player with free transfers. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can quickly secure contracts.
The 25-year-old will want to compete at the highest level after helping Crystal Palace win the FA Cup and Community Shield. The journey to Liverpool is ideal for him. They were able to provide him with a platform to showcase his qualities in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Given his contract situation, Liverpool will try to sign him for a reasonable amount. It is still unclear how the situation will develop now.
Personal terms that agree with Guehi
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool has already agreed to personal terms with the player. If they can sort out the agreement with Crystal Palace, they will be able to quickly get deals across the line.
They looked vulnerable in the back since last season, and signing a veteran Premier League defender is a wise decision. The 25-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best central defenders in the country right now.
The player is in his peak time, and this is the right time for him to join an elite club. Liverpool were able to win the Premier League title last season, and they are consistently in a position to challenge major trophies. It’s not surprising that players are drawn to the idea of playing for them.
