Jannik Sinner extended his hard court victory to 25 games on Thursday with the ruthless fire of Felix Auger Ariasime in the Cincinnati Open Quarter Finals.

Since winning his fourth Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, he has played in his first tournament, and has won Auger Ariasime 6-0, 6-2, a thinner, world-leading player and defending champion.

Auger Aliasimé won both previous matches with the sinners, but there was little resistance on Thursday.

The sinner has not been beaten on the surface of his favorites as he was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz in Beijing in early October last year.

In the other men’s quarterfinals, the seventh seed Holga Rune was eliminated by Terence Atmane 6-2, 6-3. No. 5 Ben Shelton scored a 6-4, 6-4 victory over No. 22 Giri Lehecca in the fourth round.

In the women’s fourth round, second seeded Cocogoff broke through Italy’s Lucia Bronzetti 6-2, 6-4, then against seventh seed Jasmine Paolini, giving a 6-1, 6-2 victory with former Wimbledon champion Barbora Clezicova.

The Press Association contributed to this report.
