  • Bend Ark Transfer: Bournemouth pays big money for Liverpool winger
  • Does Liverpool regret selling Doak?

Liverpool reportedly is closing by selling Ben Doak to Bournemouth to get a big profit from what he originally paid to sign him from Celtic.

Doak, a six-cap Scotland International, joined Liverpool in 2022 and made only 10 appearances in the first team during his time at Anfield.

But now the Reds are planning to sell Doak to Bournemouth for £25 million, and according to the Guardian, they have only paid him £600,000.

The 19-year-old put on a decent spell on loan in Middlesbrough last season, and it appears he can have a big future in the game, even if he’s not in Liverpool.

Still, £25 million appears to be quite a lot of Bournemouth paying less proven, less experienced players.

The former Celtic young man looks a bit like a gamble in a way, but it’s also possible that Liverpool fans are worried about the possibility of losing such a huge talent.

There is a lot of competition in this LFC team, so Doak has always struggled to get a lot of opportunities.

But at the same time, we have often seen big clubs ignore top talent without giving them enough opportunities.

The best example of this is to let Chelsea go when they had both Mohamed Sarah and Kevin de Bruin as young people.

However, recently, since leaving Manchester United, I have seen young players like Anthony Elanga and Alvaro Carreras shine.

Bournemouth is a good club to develop talented young players, so perhaps they can do the same in Dork.
