Manchester United reportedly will not have goalkeeper Andre Onana for today’s Premier League match against Arsenal.

The Red Devils will host gunners at Old Trafford for the opening fixture of the 2025/26 campaign, but they will have to do it without the first choice keeper.

See below as David Ornstein posted on Onana’s fitness to X. Cameroon International is training but says he is not ready to play for the club yet as he continues to work on returning to full fitness…

Posted by Ornstein:Andre Onana is not involved with Manchester United against Arsenal. The 29yo goalkeeper has only trained three times since recovering from a hamstring injury and working alone at Carrington today. It is said to be in physical form, but not ready #AFC. ”

Does Man United Miss Andre Onana oppose Arsenal?

Onana had critics during her time with United, so there are plenty of fans who don’t care much if they miss today’s game.

Certainly, Onana is particularly error prone to errors, so one or two Arsenal fans may be cursing their luck, so they could have given the goal to Gunners in this game.

Altay Bayindir is United’s backup keeper and it would be interesting to see how he performs if he starts today as expected.

The Red Devils brought in Benjamin Sesco, Mateus Cuña and Brian Mbeumo, while Arsenal added Victor Gyoker, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgado and Christian Mosquera, but it’s not clear whether all of them will start the game.

Gyokeres vs Sesko will be one of the most interesting fights as new strikers arrive with a big reputation in the Premier League.
