Alessandro Bastoni Inter Milano teammates warm up (Michael Reeves/Getty Images)
Chelsea reportedly saw Inter Milan centre back Alessandro Bastoni advertised a bid of 50 million euros as they were looking for cover in their defense.
Italian International shines in the inters and appears to be enough to play for one of the top clubs in the Premier League.
Chelsea can be strengthened in the back after a serious injury suffered by Levi Colwill, and Bastoni appears to be one of their targets.
However, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, it remains to be seen whether the deal is likely as Bruce failed with Bastoni’s 50 million euro offer.
Will Chelsea sign Bastoni or Conate?
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is a key player and certainly wants a cover for Colwill, who could be out for a while.
Wesley Fofana’s fitness record is not the best, but the West Londoners also carry Trevo Charova, Tosin Adalabioyo and Benoit Badiaseal.
A Chelsea News report recently linked Liverpool’s Ibrahima Conate with Chelsea’s target.
Bastoni and Konate are one of the main options the CFC sees, but both are important to the club, so it can be difficult to praise them.
Chelsea’s busy summer may not be over yet
Chelsea brought in many new players in this transfer window. Joanne Pedro, Liam Dellup, Jamie Gittens, Jorell Hato and Estevao Willian have participated so far.
Meanwhile, according to the X-post above by Fabrizio Romano, Xavi Simons is firmly in the blues sights by the end of the summer.
Chelsea also allowed Noni Madueke and Kepa Arizabaraga to join Arsenal and Keenan Dewsbury Hall to leave the player who was sold to Everton.
