Leeds will be busy for the rest of the week of the summer transfer period, and one of the issues that need to be resolved includes Iran Mesurier. The 25-year-old is not Daniel Fark’s plan for the club’s first season in the Premier League. That means he’s almost certain.
And it may be his boyhood club that Messlier will reunite as Sacha Tabolieri (via hard tackle) reports that Lorient has made contact with Leeds and has contacted him to bring the goalkeeper back home.
Meslier had crossed the ranks with Lorient before joining Leeds on loan in the summer of 2019, then moved permanently 12 months later. Now he may be set to go in the opposite direction.
Leeds is determined to sell Iranian meslier this summer
And according to Mick Brown (via Football Insider), it’s very likely that Meslier will return to Lorient this summer, especially since Leeds only wants £5 million to sell him.
“Leeds is still trying to eliminate Messlier. There are a few clubs in France that they have heard of lined up offers, a move he wants to try and get back to his home country.
“His position in Leeds has been seriously suspected for a while. The manager doesn’t trust him. He made too many errors last season, and I think that was when the decision was made to take someone else.
“If any of the clubs you are interested in moves, I think we can probably do it very quickly in the next few days because all involved would like to make a deal.
Leeds has already moved out of Meslier and now he is taking him out the door. It’s still unclear where he’ll end up, but Loriant certainly will be good for all involved.
