Crystal Palace is now moving forward with the “clinical” Premier League as an alternative to Ebeki Eze, amid continuing interest from Tottenham.
Eze tells the palace to have him join Tottenham.
Athletic David Ornstein revealed that Eze has informed the palace of his desire to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
As a result, the Eagles will now be tasked with nominating the names of England International and Ornstein as two potential options: Bilal El Cannas of Leicester City and Christostuzolis of Club Bruges.
However, while it may be difficult to coordinate El Cannas’ contract as Morocco’s release clause has expired and Leicester becomes a tough negotiator, journalist Sacha Tabolieri has revealed that Bruges is very reluctant to sell Tuzolis.
As a result, Crystal Palace could be forced to move to an alternative target, with Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Funhee currently looking at it as a direct replacement for Eze, and Tottenham has recently submitted a British bid.
That said, according to Lianos of X, the Eagles are squeezing the possibility of moving the wolves forward with a loan agreement.
Though interest in Tzolis and El Khannouss remains, Bruges plays hardball more than the former and has already rejected the £26 million offer.
“Clinical” fans were able to rekindle their careers at Selhurst Park
The 2024-25 campaign was not Korea’s best stretch, chipping with just two goals in the Premier League, but the forward has previously proven himself as a reliable scorer on top flights.
Most notably, the 29-year-old tipped in with an impressive 12 goals and three assists from Old Gold in the 2023-24 campaign. Meanwhile, he was praised as “clinical” by journalist Alex Richards.
So, if a wolf ace, known to pocket £70k-a-weeks a week, can return to those levels, he may be a solid signature of the palace, but it is questionable whether Korea International should be brought in as a direct replacement for Eze.
Fans have been most commonly featured as centrally throughout their careers so far, and Palace will need to bring in players who specialize in attacking midfield, so El Kannaz, who has two assists in two championship games this season, should be the best target.
