“They were right. A good call from them that otherwise he could have been out for a longer period.”
The news comes as a blow, but Slot was keen to emphasize that the injury was not long-term.
What is expected is that Frimon will return to full fitness after an international break and allow him to reintegrate into his team ahead of a tough set of equipment, including the Premier League and European commitments.
In the meantime, Liverpool will need to explore alternative options with fullback. Joe Gomez and Connor Bradley were asked to provide covers.
