Crystal Palace will be busy in the final week of the summer transfer period. The 27-year-old, who joined Arsenal over the weekend, is a huge loss, but with £67.5 million, he can add one or two offensive reinforcements to Oliver Grassner’s team for the Premier League and UEFA Conference League.
It’s been a quiet summer so far for Crystal Palace. Only Walter Benitez and Borna Sosa arrived at Selhurst Park. But it’s certain that at least one more addition will be added by the deadline next Monday, and Glasner will have a say in who is being brought in. He is aiming for a Champions League winger.
Oliver Glasner hopes Christos Zaris is brought to Crystal Palace
According to the Sun (via Hard Tackle), Glassner urged Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish to close the deal with Christos Zaris. The 23-year-old has been a standout performer for Club Bruges for the past 12 months and will continue his Premier League career.
Glasner sees Tzolis as a player with direct, energy and attack instincts, making him a good alternative to the deceased Eze. The contract can be made in the £20 million region at a rate. This leaves the money left to deal with other areas of the first team team before the summer transfer window closes.
It will be interesting to follow the movement of Crystal Palace for the rest of the transfer window. Glasner knows exactly what his team needs, but he still needs to be enthusiastic about whether he has reached an agreement with the parish on the matter.
