Plymouth, Michigan — John Larm and Legion XIII outperformed Bryson DeDanbaugh and the Crushers in Sunday’s playoffs in the Liv Golf League team final.

Legion XIII came together to match a 20-under crusher at St. John’s Cardinal, with the South African Stinger team returning to 12-under in the three-team final.

Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton each birded the final two holes of the regulations and ended the playoffs with a second extra hole pair against DeChambeau and Paul Casey. Rahm made six footers and Hatton had a short putt for a decisive birdie.

“Tyrrell and I made it a little later, but it’s better than never being late,” Rahm said. “When it comes to the playoffs, we were both sure we had really good wedge players. We were sure we would give ourselves a lot of chances if we just put it on the fairway.”

Former Tennessee player Caleb Saratt led Legion XIII with 64.

“It was on the Wild,” Saratt said. “I’m grateful to John for trusting me enough to bring me to his team last year. I’m extremely proud of the player I started.”

Rahm and Tom McKibbin each shot 65, while Hatton scored 66.

“Tyrrell and I haven’t had a great day today either. I don’t think we did our best for a week,” Rahm said. “But the young people were beacons of strength playing good powers today as well. They carried us to the end.”

DeChambeau shot 62.

“He played incredible golf,” Rahm said of Deccanbo. “He played incredible. His driver was on an absolute roll and he moved the putter.”

Casey and Anirban Lahiri had 65, while Charles Howell III was closed at 68. Howell birded five of the first seven and dropped three strokes.

Rahm helped Legion III take the team event a week after successfully defending his LIV season points title in Indiana.
