Arsenal FC journalist Charles Watts provided insight into how they line up for Liverpool for weekend games.

Gunners faced a very challenging trip to Anfield on Sunday afternoon, and their work became even more difficult with Buka Yosaka, which appears to be likely to miss the game.

England International must go out to win at Leeds United, Watts writes in his exclusive Catch off side A column that says he is likely to miss out on three or four weeks of action.

Swapping Saka is not easy after recent huge contributions to Arsenal, but Watts hopes Noni Madueke will nod.

Madueke will join Arsenal from Chelsea this summer and will be able to play on either side, so it would be ideal to cover Saka against Liverpool.

Ethan Nwaneri could also play in that position, but Watts has probably suggested that the 18-year-old will likely fill in for Martin Odegard at center, but he has yet to confirm that he will miss the game.

“There was a real sense of security around Arsenal when the results of their first scan came earlier this week after Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegard were injured against Leeds,” Watts said.

“Both the club and the players were very concerned right after the injury, but the outcome showed that neither injury was as bad as he initially feared.

“In Saka’s case, he certainly missed this weekend’s match against Liverpool and will sit down two England equipment during the international break.”

He added: “Three or four weeks are truly the best scenario due to hamstring injuries, and it has been seen as a good result for Arsenal and Saka themselves, who were desperate to avoid another long layoff.

“I think Noni Maduke will start on his behalf against Liverpool this weekend, which will be a huge opportunity for him.

“His signature sparked a lot of debate by questioning why he was signed and the overall cost of the transaction. What is a better way to silence those doubts than producing a winning performance for the match at Anfield?

“It’s not yet clear whether Odegaard will make it in Sunday’s game. It will be very interesting to see what Mikel Arteta will do if his captain is ruled out.

“Ethan Nwaneri is running, but I’d like to see Ebebeki Eze win his first start. If Arteta started him in the central region against the champions, it would be a massive show of faith in the youth.”
