  • Newcastle United finds Alexander Isaac’s alternative
  • Medical care is scheduled for Woltemade

According to Athletic, Newcastle United are about to complete one of the most important signatures of the summer transfer period, and the club has reached an agreement to introduce Stuttgart striker Nick Urtemade.

The 23-year-old German International is scheduled to move to St. James Park after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.

Newcastle’s Woltemade pursuit comes as part of Eddie Howe’s strategy to enhance magpie attack options for the uncertain future of Alexander Isak.

The Swedish striker hasn’t played for Magpies yet this season and is desperately searching to leave the club and join Liverpool this summer.

Bayern Munich had previously submitted three formal bids to Woltemade, all firmly rejected by Stuttgart, who decided to put it on hold at a premium rate.

That stance appears to have paid off, with Newcastle finally agreeing to a potential bonus of 5 million euros plus a package worth 70 million euros.

Already establishing himself as one of German football’s most exciting forwards, Woltemade is understood to have fully approved the transfer.

Personal terms have long been agreed, and strikers are now granted permission to travel to the UK. There is currently an arrangement in place to help him get medical care within the next 24 hours, which will pave the way for official announcements.

The signature is expected to add both depth and quality to Newcastle’s forward line.

If completed, the move represents a key statement from Newcastle by showing its commitment to not only defeating Bayern Munich with the Woltemade signature, but also investing heavily in players who can have immediate impact.

That might mean Isak could leave the club soon, but at least the managers and fans will be pleased to have a young striker with a promising future leading their offense.
