Leeds United have taken a surprising approach to signing the new Champions League winner.
Leeds wants more attack signatures before the transfer deadline
The whites fell into an embarrassing EFL Cup defeat to Sheffield on Tuesday evening, Wednesday, with the championship side fielding a team filled primarily with young people.
Meanwhile, Daniel Fark has begun his summer signature.
After completing 10 senior signatures, there will be more offensive additions at Elland Road before the deadline, and journalist Graeme Bailey says Leeds wants winger and number 10.
“Leeds wants wingers and number 10. There are still some deals to do.
“Leeds also wants to do a few other deals. They will be one of the busy teams trying to complete the move. (Manner) As for Solomon, he had a good season in Leeds last time, but he’s not involved with the Spurs at this time.
With days remaining in the relocation window, it appears as if the 49ers company has turned its eye to the new attack target and responded.
Leeds takes a surprising approach to Timo Werner
The versatile forward who appears to be on Leeds’ radar is former Chelsea and Tottenham striker Timo Werner.
According to a report broadcast by German sports witnesses, Leeds took a surprising approach to signing Werner in RB Leipzig. Like the people of Yorkshire, fellow promoted Side Burnley is in touch to get Germany back to England, but Werner snuggled both Leeds and Burnley.
Werner has also not entertained the possibility of moving to Italy, Türkiye or Saudi Arabia, and has signed with Leipzig until 2026.

RB Leipzig | 213 | 113 |
Stuttgart | 103 | 14 |
Chelsea | 89 | twenty three |
Tottenham | 41 | 3 |
Germany | 57 | twenty four |
Warner, who scored 177 senior goals during his career, can play anywhere in front three, but struggled in the 2024/25 Premier League season and did not score in 18 appearances.
He was also criticized by former Spurs boss Anji Postkoglu after an Europa League exhibit against the Forward Europa League Rangers.
“When you have an 18 year old (to the team), that (the performance) is unacceptable to me. I told Timo that he is German international.
“At the moment we are in this moment, it’s not that we have many options — I need everyone to at least get out there and try to make the most of themselves. His performance in the first half was unacceptable.
“Everyone, including him, needs to contribute because if they perform poorly, they don’t have the depth to rule out people. I expect some senior levels of performance, but tonight it wasn’t.”
Werner was a Champions League winner and could have represented a solid signature at the age of 29, but it appears that the transfer doesn’t happen on the last day of the window.
