Aston Villa is reportedly locked up in a transfer agreement for Paris Saint-Germain, which attacks midfielder Marco Asensio.
According to L’Equipe, the deal that Asensio will be permanently joining the villa after the spell he was loaned out at the Premier League club late last season is close.
Spanish International works well on Unai Emery’s side and it’s not so surprising to see him appear to be ready to come back now.
As Give Me Sport noted, Asensio, which earns £300,000 a week, approached Fenerbahce early in the summer before the deal ended.
This allowed the villa to try and get Asensio back, but now it could be completed.
Marcoa Sencio set in the second Aston Villa Spell
AVFC supporters will certainly be happy to bring Asensio back to Villa Park for the second spell.
The 29-year-old is not a player who once had some injuries issues over the years, but he still can influence the game at the highest level.
Asensio quickly settled in the Premier League and performed well in Champions League villas.
Asensio, a skilled and creative playmaker capable of playing a variety of roles, seems to fit Emery’s style of soccer.
Villa Mixed Summer Transfer Window
The villa would do well to sign Asensio, but it was a challenging summer for the Midlands Club.
Jacob Ramsey’s recent departure to Newcastle has been a blow to Villa, but Asensio should be an ideal replacement in the midfield division while attacking.
But overall, fans would have wanted more spending, but it is clear that sales need to be made to balance the book and maintain it in line with PSR laws.
