Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that he may have to turn an all-new front three towards Liverpool in Sunday’s Big Premier League match at Anfield.

Gunners have already struggled on the frontline of injuries earlier this season, with Arteta noting that he doesn’t have all three for the game: Bukayo Saka, Kai Herberts and Gabriel Jesus.

When asked at his press conference about how Arsenal lined up for Liverpool, Arteta admitted that it could mean that three players they have never played together before are playing in advance.

The front three likely were Victor Guilyoker, Noni Madueke and Ebebeki Eze, and Arteta has admitted that the team has probably never done it before.

“We don’t have Gabriel Jesus, we don’t have Kai Herberts, we don’t have Bucayo Saka. That’s our reality, and perhaps Leandro Torosad,” the Spanish tactician told reporters.

“So it’s something we have, we’ll have to find something, and maybe something we’ve never done before.

“Yes, I trust them entirely.”

Last year was tough for Arsenal, who suffered injuries. Saka, Herberts and Yes also missed most of last season, but other big names like Martin Odegard, Gabriel Magalges and Ben White also missed many games.

Arsenal’s midfield options and Liverpool’s Charles Watts

write Catch off side In his column earlier this week, Arsenal journalist Charles Watts also mentioned how Artetas line up.

Since Martin Odegaard isn’t necessarily the right fit for the game, Watts wrote about who could replace Arsenal’s captain.

“It’s not yet clear whether Odegaard will make it in Sunday’s game. It’ll be very interesting to see what Mikel Arteta will do if his captain is ruled out,” writes Watts.

“Ethan Nwaneri is running, but I’d like to see Ebebeki Eze win his first start. If Arteta started him in the central region against the champions, it would be a massive show of faith in the youth.”
