After announcing the arrival of Mateus Fernandez, West Ham United is reportedly preparing an offer to sign the offensive reinforcement that Graham Potter loves.
Fernandez was “excited” by West Ham Maube
After a disastrous start to the season, West Ham welcomed much needed strengthening at Fernandez. The midfielder has officially arrived from Southampton on a contract worth around £42 million.
When he spoke for the first time after putting the pen on paper, Fernandez told West Ham’s official website. “I’m so happy to be here, I’m so excited to play for West Ham, and I think that’s a big step for me.
“It’s a big club, a big club. Projects, a stadium, a city, everything. You’re not just trying to play football, enjoy football, run and try to run and score, you try to play good football. I think the most important thing is to try to give it all every day.”
After welcoming the midfield stars, West Ham will not take place there. The report also shows that they are on the course to sign Soungoutou Magassa as Monaco and continue their slow spending.
It’s no surprise that people at London Stadium are trying to spend late. Hammer endures the start of a season’s nightmare, losing three to three, and is one of his favourites to suddenly face a drop.
Potter hopes that the recent additions will finally change his tenure and that he will avoid yet another London fire. Furthermore, the pressure to turn things around only increases if West Ham moves for a winger he appears to love before the transfer window closes.
West Ham Readying Wimmer offer
As reported by Bild and relayed by sports witnesses, West Ham is preparing an offer this week to sign Patrick Wimmer of Wolfsburg. Potter is reportedly a fan of Winger, and he has been dreaming of Premier League moves for a while.
It’s a big question whether Wimmer is the answer to their problem or a repetition of recent forward flops like Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug. Looking at the numbers should raise concerns for West Ham.
League statistics 24/25 | Wimmer | Summerville |
---|---|---|
Min | 1.770 | 786 |
the goal | 3 | 1 |
assist | 4 | 1 |
Key Pass | twenty four | 17 |
Former Manchester City goalkeeper Stephen Ortega told reporters that while Wimmer still has repeated what he needs to do, he also received plenty of praise from his former Arminia Bielefeld teammate. “He has something crazy and easygoing about him. He has youthful stupidity. If he sticks to it and works to get some of the basics right, he’s even more valuable.”
There is no doubt that signing a 24-year-old is a risk. At this stage, West Ham cannot afford to make things wrong in the transfer market.
