Newcastle United emerged from the pain of the summer transfer window with a purposeful team despite all the chaos that has kept Eddie Howe from starting the season.
The two points from the three Premier League matches are not enough, but the context is very important and Hau becomes stubborn and confident in restoring that sense of victory to Tyneside.
However, he and his team must do so without the service of Alexander Isaac, who completed the transfer of the UK record transfer to Liverpool on the transfer deadline.
Newcastle has been heavily strengthened over the past few months, but even if at times Imapful’s signature felt unable to find a way to Hau’s broth, the late signatures of Yoan Wissa and Nick Urtemaid guaranteed Isaac would not leave without being at a disadvantage with the depths of the squad and would fall into the same rank.
Why Newcastle sold Isaac
The longest-lasting saga of summer moving windows is over.
Isaac, 25, was on strike in the final month of his Newcastle career. He got his wish and United banked record-breaking fees.
Isaac contributed to the most successful period in Newcastle’s modern history, but his actions left a stain on his legacy, and in confirmation of Newcastle’s 37-word sale, he chose to express his gratitude, dark evidence of that fact.
Still, Sweden’s international sales added much to the financial sources, with Sweden’s international sales adding more to the financial sources, PIF redistributed wealth to the new frontline, and Sweden’s international sales added more to the financial sources.
The blow is eased by adding a potential striker and Ultemaid superstar that exists in Wissa, but Howe oversees another sale in recent memory, which is covered in just as much pain.
Only this departure performed himself far better than the former talisman of the club.
Howe’s most painful Newcastle sale
Isak’s sales were made with cargo on sentiment. Much of this stems from the distrust of Tyneside followers who, after he solidified himself as a legend, throwing his toys out of the pram because he wanted a better term.
However, cement can be illuminated by dust, and Isaac is now another one-off star. However, the same cannot be said about Elliot Anderson, who had to be sold to Nottingham Forest a year ago, so that PIF could place the temperament of the Premier League PSR Rules.
It was July 2024, with Nottingham Forest earning £35 million for one of Newcastle’s own, and Anderson made his senior debut on Toon in 2021, featuring 55 times.
Only 22, he was crucial to Forest’s success last year, playing regularly from the start of the Premier League and impressed with his multifaceted approach to play.
Last month, Thomas Tuschel handed Anderson his first English call, a testament to his good work.
It was a difficult medicine for magpies to swallow. Especially due to the lighting in St. James’ parks, his childhood fans, and the knowledge that he wants to steal his craft under a ship-only jump ship, as external forces demanded.
Anderson’s form absolutely suggests that he will become a major player in Howe’s system. Perhaps they removed Jacob Ramsey’s £43 million signature from Aston Villa last week.
We are just three fixtures from the 2025/26 campaign, so the metrics drawn from Premier League performances are skewed, but Anderson continues from last season’s success with Nuno Espirito Santo’s acquisition team with Europe.

Whether he can keep it is a completely different question, but Anderson certainly shows that he is creating an elite Premier League midfielder.
After all, Anderson has ranked in the top 12% of European top five league position peers over the past year, both assisting and tackling, with the top 11% to successfully take-ons per 90 highlighting his tendency towards full midfield play, courtesy of FBREF.
A successful take-on is recorded when the player defeats the opponent while bringing the ball directly into the possession.
Newcastle overcomes the sale of ISAK. They soon forget the world-class striker who made his wish to leave Tyneside this summer.
But Anderson was able to face Howe’s side over the next five years, but the Newcastle crowd was still forced to leave, naturally, to stop the threat of financial responsibility.
Of course, there is all the possibility that Newcastle would try to re-sign the young man who flew the nest, but reports attributed to his sale make sure that no buyback clause has been inserted when the signature is scribbled.
He was previously welcomed as a “sparse” young talent by former teammate Alex Rodman. Anderson, who was on loan with Bristol Rovers, may no longer play for Newcastle, but he still remembers affectionately to his fanbase.
The same cannot be said to everyone.
