  • Man United explores the move for former striker Danny Welbeck
  • Welbeck was able to return to Old Trafford in January

Manchester United have strengthened their offensive and goalkeeping division this summer.

Reuben Amorim completely revamped his team’s offense this summer by signing players like Benjamin Sesco, Mateus Cunya and Brian Mbeumo.

For goalkeeping positions, United signed Senne Ranmen of Royal Antwerp on the deadline.

However, there is another attacker who United tried to sign at the final moments of their summer transfer period.

Amorim wanted another attacker for the club, and according to the football relocation, the Red Devils had agreed to personal terms with former striker Danny Welbeck, who is currently playing for Brighton.

The 34-year-old scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season, and his performance impressed his previous club.

Welbeck was considered for his late companions by the club as United are trying to add depth to their offense after Rasmus Hozilund left to Napoli.

According to the report, Brighton decided not to sanction the transfer because he didn’t have enough time to sign the exchange.

Welbeck is currently likely to move to Old Trafford during the January transfer period.

United explored the moves of another Brighton player, midfielder Carlos Valleva, but the Premier League side was reluctant to sell him this summer. During Baleba’s speech, Red Devils discussed the possibility of signing Welbeck.

Jason Wilcox was personally involved in the debate to bring Welbeck back to Old Trafford.

Welbeck scored 29 goals in 142 senior appearances for the Red Devils, but he was sold to Arsenal in 2014 due to competition for the club’s location.

He can provide experience in Man United’s offense, but at age 34, signing him means little to Amorim’s team. With Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee already behind, Welbeck had little impact on Old Trafford.
