Tottenham Hotspur’s summer windows have made them impressively reinforced the forefront with the addition of Zabi Simons and Randall Koro Muani.
However, a notable void remained, and the club missed coveted targets like Manchester City’s emerging star Savigno and Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Rodrigo.
The club is currently aiming for the January transfer window, with potential additions already in view.
Real Madrid is ready to sell Rodrigo in January
According to TeamTalk, Real Madrid is currently ready to hear the offer of Brazilian forward Rodrigo. The 24-year-old is sliding down a Pecking order under his new manager, Xabi Alonso.
Once considered an unruly talent in the Los Blancos attack, Rodrigo’s importance to the team has diminished with the arrival of new signatures.
The situation has not been overlooked in the UK, with several Premier League giants closely monitoring development. Both Liverpool and Arsenal have expressed strong interest and see Rodrigo as a player who can quickly increase his offensive options.
However, the report suggests that the city of Manchester is currently in pole position to move forward. Pep Guardiola’s side is said to be preparing a formal approach for the January transfer period.
Tottenham gave a big boost to signing Savigno in Man City
Interestingly, the city’s pursuit of Rodrigo could indirectly benefit Tottenham. The Premier League champions are expected to sanction the sale of Savigno, one of the current Brazilian attackers.
Tottenham was close to securing Savigno’s signature in the summer, but failed to push the deal on the line.
With the winger still on the radar, the city’s chances of acquiring Rodrigo will accelerate his availability and become a major candidate to secure his service in the winter market.
