Tottenham Hotspur is about to sign Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and was able to aim to make a move for him during the January transfer period.
The midfielder is valued at £100 million, but the Spurs were able to come forward with an opening offer of £60 million to sign him. The 23-year-old is an outstanding player for Aston Villa, scoring 14 goals last season. He managed to get 16 assists.
Chelsea is also interested in Rogers. Meanwhile, there were rumours that Liverpool could have an advantage in the race to sign players.
Morgan Rogers will be added to the elite
He is an incredible talent with a bright future and he was able to grow into a future star. It’s no surprise that the Spurs want to sign him. According to Theboyhotspur, Tottenham is looking to become more ambitious in the transfer market under their improved leadership. They want to make a big move in the market. And it will be interesting to see if they can sign one of the brightest young talents in British football right now.
They will need more creativity in the final third, and Rogers will be an exceptional acquisition. He is quite young and only improves in coaching. He was able to develop into a world-class player with proper guidance.
Can the Spurs sign Rogers?
Aston Villa doesn’t want to lose him easily, so they could ask for a premium. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can convince the midfielder to accept the offer of around £60 million. The opportunity to move to Tottenham can be attractive to players. It’s a step up for him and he’ll compete with them in the UEFA Champions League. They were able to provide him with a platform to fight for the trophy.
Tottenham has exciting projects, quality teams and top-class managers. This may be the right time for a 23-year-old to participate.
