John Daly makes history with a disastrous 19 in one hall at the PGA Tour Champions event

John Daly etched his name in history on Friday, but he’s not happy about it. Daly performed very poorly at the PGA Tour Champions Stop at Sanford International in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, recording 19 strokes in one hole.

Daly broke the professional record with an annoyed outing on Friday. In 1998, Daly took 18 strokes and finished the famous par 5 sixth hole at Bay Hill. There, a hole gets caught up in a huge lake, and some players try to hand over it by attacking with the driver.

On Friday, Daly was forced to write down a 19 on the scorecard on the par 5 12th hole at Minnehaha Country Club.

There is no laser system to record shots on the course, but for details on each shot, state Daly left seven balls in the Hazard. He eventually cleared the water, up and down from the mid-roughness of the 19 people. For those who maintain their score at home, that means Daly played the other 17 holes with four over pars.

Daily’s performance was recently achieved by Blue Crampton, dating back to the Grand Rapids Open in 1996, and defeated a three-way tie for the highest score in a single hole.

He was playing with Stephen Ames and two major winners Angel Cabrera.
