SIOX City, SD – John Daly entered the PGA Tour Champion record book for the wrong reasons. He scored 19 on the par 5 12th hole at Sanford International.

He also broke his personal record with a one-shot. Daly scored 18 on the par 5 sixth hole at the 1998 Bay Hill Invitational, hitting 3 woods for sixth consecutive time.

Details were a bit unknown from the Minnehaha Country Club, which does not have a laser system to record shots to the PGA Tour champions.

Daly did not immediately respond to calls and texts from the Associated Press.

According to details of the shot-by-shot, Daly hit a tee shot roughly and pushed the next seven shots into hazard. He finally made the water rougher, cleaning up the 17th shot with the 17th green collar and fell up and down for the 19.

Three players defeated the high score before the PGA Tour champions hole with three shots.

Unlike his previous high score at Bay Hill, Daly made a birdie 2 on the next hole.

Daily was rolled up at 88.

His high score on the PGA Tour was 90 in the second round of the Valsper Championship held in Innisbrook in 2014.

Daly played with Stephen Ames and double major winner Anchell Cabrera. Argentina led the tournament with 64, celebrating their 56th birthday with 24 shots.
