The Chelsea Scouts were reportedly present as Kenan Ildis scored a great goal for Juventus and also scored an assist in Inter Milan’s victory.
Juve ultimately won 4-3 in a crazy game against their rivals, and Yildiz was one of the most impressive performers of the day.
The talented young turkey international found the back of the net with a powerful long distance effort to beat Jan Somer, and he generally shined in the free role behind main striker Dusan Vlahovich.
According to Mark Bulls, who writes for his daily briefing, Chelsea is one of the top offensive targets of 2026, and he gave a scout to watch Yildiz in this game.
Kenan Ildis among Chelsea’s top targets
Discussing the situation with Yildiz, Brus makes it clear that he is not necessarily the Blues’ top priority in that position, but he is clearly being monitored alongside others like Aston Villastar Morgan Rogers.
“Yildiz isn’t necessarily the number one target for Chelsea, and remains informed that it will become Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers,” writes Bullus.
“But I thought I would post this update as the Chelsea Scouts were in today’s game.
“Reminder: He won’t get cheap. I was told at the end that Juve would like to start negotiating for at least 800,000 euros.
Chelsea continues to pursue young elite talent
The current owner of Chelsea continues to pursue a very good young player in the world, and Yildiz is certainly there.
The 20-year-old will certainly be difficult for Juventus to keep holding on, and Chelsea could be just the right project for him to continue his development.
The CFC wanted Xavi Simons, especially in the summer, but he ended up joining Tottenham instead. So it makes sense that the West London giants now see things like Yildiz and Rogers as alternatives.
