Insider responds to the interest of another Liverpool star Real Madrid

Mohamed Sarah was able to leave Liverpool in 2026.

In June, Liverpool lost Trent Alexander Arnold, and since then the rest of Arne Slot’s team has linked to following in his footsteps. Ibrahima Conate is increasingly likely to move in 2026, and he may not be the only one.

With the departure of Trent, Darwin Nunes and Lewis Diaz, Alexander Isaac, Hugo Ekichike and Jeremy Fripon, there was a considerable squad overhaul in the summer. And on top of this, Mohamed Sarah and Virgil van Dick remained after signing a new contract.

However, there is a possibility that Sarah will leave next summer, especially as Liverpool has a strong interest in Bayern Munich’s winger Michael Ollies. According to football insiders, Pete O’Rourke has responded to Real Madrid’s interest, but he doesn’t expect Egypt International to follow in Trent’s footsteps.

“Real Madrid? Real Madrid is connected to everyone. You’ll be surprised if Madrid is going to move on Sarah now.

“Mo Salah, look at his resume, if he does the last two years at Anfield and moves on, he chooses the club where he wants to go, so that will be one of them.

It will be interesting to see if Sarah will leave Liverpool in 2026, but that could depend on his shape throughout the season. If he leaves, he is much more likely to end in Saudi Arabia compared to Real Madrid, but the La Liga giant is known for targeting market opportunities.
