After a mix of Premier League campaigns, Leeds United and Daniel Fark filed a number of injuries prior to a very important clash with relegation rival Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Latest Leeds Injury News
With one win and a draw in the first four games in the Premier League, Leeds shows a lot of promise when it comes to carving out narrow results.
But there’s still a long way to go before the clubs they promoted break the tendency to return straight to the championship. But that didn’t stop Fark from praiseing his part’s defensive work ahead of his trip to the Wolves.
“First of all, I am pretty pleased that we are extremely solid for most of the Premier League season, which is always key as a newly promoted party to give you a chance to survive.
“What we need to improve is the cutting edge, results and efficiency to score more goals as Premier League games are like this, creating more opportunities than 75 minutes at Everton, Newcastle and Fulham.
“This is the only thing I can criticize for what I lack, but there was a similar topic at the beginning of last season, and I played really good football and created opportunities.”
Aside from a 5-0 thrashing at Arsenal’s hands, Leeds held a clean sheet against Everton and Newcastle, conceding one goal in the last Gasp defeat against Fulham. Defensively, white people are impressively stubborn.
What they struggled for is ongoing. And the news of recent injuries certainly doesn’t help in that regard. Fark has confirmed that Dan James is a big doubt facing the wolf, but goalkeeper Lucas Peri is also on the sidelines along with another important offensive talent.
Gnonto is currently facing the Late Leeds Fitness Test
As Farke revealed, Wilfried Gnonto was also suspected of injuries to face a wolf, and was able to deal with another frustrating blow to the frontline of Leeds. Often, bright sparks, which have been a dull attack so far this season, will handle more trouble, Gnonto’s absence handing out a big boost in front of the goal.
It’s not only the people of Elland Road that have impressed Gunnont over the years. Leeds was in the Premier League with Manchester United legend Gary Neville, who led the Winger admiration.
The former defender said: “I see potential and talent, but I look at him very closely and really honestly about where he’s, choosing his pass, when he’s going to run with him, and his teammates’ perceptions.”
Former Leeds star Jermaine Beckford also described Gnonto as “direct” about the traits Leeds most likely to miss if they are on the sidelines against wolves this weekend.
