“It’s refreshing” – Marcus Rashford subtly digs Man United after a great Barcelona performance

Marcus Rashford stole a Barcelona show last night and scored two great goals in the Champions League 2-1 victory over Newcastle United.

Barka had to be patient with Eddie Howe’s resilient side, but Rashford created a real magical moment with his victory goal from outside the box.

England International is currently on loan at Manchester United’s Barcelona and appears to be enjoying football again after a difficult spell.

Rashford clearly seemed unmotivated by Man UTD, but he also speaks about how refreshing it is to be in Barcelona now.

Marcus Rashford, who loves life in Barcelona

Watch the video below as the 27-year-old talks about her life at Barca and how she feels she has been given the opportunity to improve her game.

“It works. Clearly I’ve learned a lot and it’s a new way of football. I enjoy it all. I think it makes me a better player.

“To be honest, it’s a great experience. I’ve always been a huge admirer of Barcelona. Most people of my age have seen them play since we were younger, so it’s great football, great players and we just want to win as much as possible.”

He added: “I’m full of excitement. I’m very motivated, very determined and excite me on my own the quality we have in our team.

“It’s refreshing to play with these guys. I said that a few times, but the team is so young, they play with that confidence and understand the game.”

This obviously sounds like a player who needs to change the scene and escapes Old Trafford.

So many talented footballers have struggled in that environment in recent years, and many of them have continued to improve after leaving the Red Devils.

It appears Rashford is doing the same thing, but it’s great that neutral fans will bring him back to the best again.
