Two-time major champion and former world No. 1 Staysys said on Wednesday it will be her final season on the LPGA Tour.

The 40-year-old American made the announcement as part of a lengthy social media post.

“In 2025, you probably didn’t expect this journey to continue, but it’s time to clean up the club.”

Lewis’ achievements on the course are abundant.

She took part in the LPGA Tour in 2009, after an outstanding career at the University of Arkansas, winning 13 times. This included the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 2013 Women’s British Open, both major titles.

Lewis is the two-time LPGA Tour Player of the Year (2012, ’14) and ranks 14th in the career money list, earning over $14 million in 374 events.

She is part of four Solheim Cup teams as a player and captained the group that defeated Europe in September 2024.

“I’ve been caring about the LPGA Tour like my own kids. I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made, but for my fellow players, we’re not over!” she wrote. “I hope you continue to move the tour forward and do everything you can to support on and off the course!”
