As rumors surround the future of Reuben Amorim, Manchester United reportedly took part in the race in 2026 to sign a much-needed midfield reinforcement.
Reuben Amorimsack Update
Despite several reports suggesting there will be only three games to save his man United’s job, Amorim reiterated earlier this week that his meeting with the Club Chiefs was nothing more than a routine.
Ineos claims he’s already lined up things like Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva as potential candidates to replace the struggling manager, but Amorim has shut down rumors that he’s on his way out of the club.
“No, it’s normal, just to show support, to explain it as a long project. He’s said many times, “This is my third season.” That’s not the case for me.
“I talked to him and (CEO) Omar (Berada) and (Football Director) Jason (Wilcox), and we’re trying to see all the data around the team, so we had a regular meeting.
The former sports club boss also told reporters repeatedly that this is not the time to change his 3-4-2-1 system. “No, no, no, never (I’ve thought of change).
It is a decision that continues to divide opinions. Amorim’s victory suggests that changes in the system won’t make things worse, but he rarely changes things in the face of even more unfortunate forms.
Ineos may decide to change players before the manager changes again at Old Trafford. Prior to 2026, Old Trafford chief reportedly has his eyes on beating Arsenal against a talented midfield target.
Man Utd Racing to Race Arsenal to Sign Agoume
As reported by catch-offside, Man United is currently racing Arsenal to sign Lucian Agume from Sevilla during the January transfer period. The Gunners had already taken the approach of signing the talented Frenchman in the summer, but their failure to move has led to the possibility that the Red Devils would leave the door ajjar to enter.
Agome, praised for his “amazing” profile by analyst Ben Matinson, is the type of player United should do everything to sign when the opportunity arrives.
The midfielder is only 23 years old and is about to reach the peak of his strength. If Amorim is about to replace an aging Casemiro, he should not look farther than the Sevilla star.
It’s not easy to jump on Arsenal in a race for the midfielders, but United have already proven their appeal by landing Benjamin Sesco in the summer.
