Rogers, Arks – Heavy rain and dangerous weather led the LPGA Tour, closing Saturday of the second round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship before anyone started, bringing uncertainty about how much of the event could be completed.

Already the fastest tournament on the schedule – 54 holes – players could have a long day or wait more.

No one completed more than three holes due to the rain. The LPGA determined Sunday morning whether Pinnacle Country Club is playable and said the second round would resume at 7:10am.

Sarah Schmelzel and Minami Katsu took the lead with an 8-under par. In the third tournament since returning after giving birth to his son in late April, Allison Lee had a birdie and joined at 8 before play stopped.

The LPGA said it will decide whether the tournament will be 36 holes or try to enter all 54 holes before the second round resumes. The LPGA is off next week.

Stayseils scored in his first tournament in 2007, an amateur, but Rain was shortened to 18 holes and was not considered official.
