  • Tottenham flipped to sell Bergvall with more than rice
  • The Spurs midfielder was impressed this season

Tottenham Hotspur may have one of the most valuable assets to produce.

Under Thomas Frank’s leadership this season, the Spurs appeared to be competitive and organized.

Despite some hiccups this season, they’re working well and are continuing to be impressed with the offensive display.

The Giants in the Premier League are currently third in the Premier League, with some players showing eye-catching performances.

One of them is midfielder Lucas Bergval, who promoted his game under Frank this season.

Tottenham flipped to sell Bergvall with more than rice

Bergvall is considered a player who could be sold for more than what Arsenal paid to sign Declan Rice in West Ham United.

Former Premier League midfielder Martin Allen speaks exclusively about the potential of Bergvall, according to Spurs News.

Allen believes Bergval is “better” than Rice, and claims Bergval’s goalscoring and creative output put him in a category that demands at least £110 million in the market.

“At the age he is, he won £105 million for years at West Ham with Declan Rice.” Martin said.

“There’s no way I could sell him for less than £110 million, and for me, he’s a better player than Rice.

“The best and highest quality player. Yeah, I put him a bracket of about £110 million. In my opinion, he’s very good.”

The context of this claim is interesting. Of course, Rice has become the benchmark for the most recent transfer transaction. It is a midfielder that can protect the backline, move forward and provide stability while contributing to transitional attacks.

By comparison, Bergval has been praised for his ability to not only contribute defensively, but also for his ability to further influence the game.

The fact that players already see as worth more than one of the top midfielders in recent years is a sign of how far Bergval has come.

It is also well reflected in Spurs’ scouting, youth development, and its ability to identify undervalued talent in a market where fees are rising rapidly.
