  • Noni Maduke was ruled out for two months due to a knee injury
  • Madueke is overlooked by Arsenal and the UK

Arsenal’s bright start to the season was curtailed by news of injuries related to both Mikel Arteta and his club supporters.

According to Athletic, Winger Noni Madueke is expected to take action for up to two months after receiving a knee injury in the first half of the Gunners’ collision with Manchester City on Sunday.

The set-off is definitely a blow, but the early scans provided at least some relief, making sure the 23-year-old avoids damage to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Madueke got off after gathering in the first half to let him know that he couldn’t continue right away. Given the nature of the incident and the fact that he was kicked out early, there was real concern that Winger had suffered serious ligament damage.

In particular, ACL injuries have plagued many Premier League stars in recent seasons, and often require longer surgery and 12 months of rehabilitation process.

Even today, another Arsenal attacker, Gabriel Jesus, is currently recovering from an ACL injury and is expected to return to action next year.

Luckily for Arsenal, the scan confirmed that Madueke is facing a bystander spell, but that the injury is not as serious as feared.

Medical staff have shown a recovery period of about eight weeks, and we can see that he misses a critical set of equipment in both the Premier League and Champions League group stages.

England International was growing influential, adding pace and flare to Arsenal’s front line.

His ability to extend his defenses and create space for his teammates was a valuable asset.

The positive news for the gunners is that Bukayosaka has returned from an injury in a match against City at Emirates Stadium.

Despite having players like those in the right field position, Madueke’s injuries are bad news for the gunners.

When Madueke finally begins to find Arsenal and British form, he is injured watching him miss an important match.
