Chelsea are considering replacing Robert Sanchez when the transfer window resumes in January.
The 27-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has been criticized for his mediocre performance since joining the club from Brighton.
According to football insiders, Chelsea Scouts are already trying to find quality alternatives, and it is still unclear whether they can bring about the right additions.

“The new goalkeeper is something Chelsea have seen for a while,” Mick Brown told a football insider.
“They identified it as an area of their team that they feel they can improve, and I think it’s something they have to do if they want to be a title contender.
“Sanchez is a good goalkeeper, but he’s not an elite, he showed this season.
“So, Chelsea will be in a visible position to strengthen. I’ve heard they already have scouts who appreciate some of his potential alternatives.”
Chelsea wants to fight for the main trophies and believe they need an elite goalkeeper. It is still unknown who they will become. They are linked to players like Mike Maignan.
Sanchez should move on
Meanwhile, Sanchez aims to join a competitive club and get his career back on track. He had previously shown quality at Brighton, but was unable to hit top form at Chelsea. Perhaps a new start is ideal for players too.
Chelsea hopes to recover as much as possible for the Spanish goalkeeper and invest in upgrades. They have been doing well to improve their team in recent seasons and have recently managed to win the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Europa Conference League. They are now looking to push major trophies such as the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League.
