Manchester United complains of fresh defensive headaches before future fixtures, and Nucea Mazrawi is not trained.
As manager Ruben Amorim prepares to issue a clarification, fans are looking closely to see how serious this set date is.
Mazrawi’s name was missing from Man United’s training report.
Man United Star Mazrawi misses training
Journalist Samuel Luckhurst of the Sun reported that Mazlawi had not been found in United Training in preparation for a clash with Brentford on Saturday, urging the inclusion of young Sam Mother as the cover in the drill for the first team.
Luckhurst posted an update to his X account:
“Summy mother was drafted into training because it is not visible in the #MUFC training images/video. Mother is primarily a winger, so he is a logical alternative to Mazrawi in the 3-4-2-1 training game.
There is no conclusive official statement on the severity level yet, but his omitted from training has been a hot topic, especially in defenses dealing with injuries.
Mazrawi’s absence puts pressure on United’s right flank. Losing him even temporarily forces the manager to rethink the rotation pattern or risk overexposing the backup options.
Reuben Amorim to address another injury issue?
Whether Mazrawi’s absence is preventative or a more serious setback will dramatically change the way United manages their teams in the short term.
Players who can play as right-backs or right-wingers are key members of the starting lineup under Amorim.
In the formations used by Amorim, 3-4-2-1, Mazraoui is an important player providing width and defensive cover.
The coming days and official updates will tell you whether this is a bit of a pause or a more meaningful setback in a United campaign that already deals with injuries to Diogo Dalot, a player who plays in the same position.
