  • Liverpool and Man UTD’s success spell
  • Giggs’ Bold Man UTD and Liverpool forecast for 2011

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs made big predictions about his previous club and Liverpool in 2011, and they’re back now to plague him.

Liverpool and Man UTD’s success spell

The Red Devils and Reds are two of the biggest clubs in British football, enjoying great rivalry throughout history and have had a range of successes.

Liverpool came to the top in the 1970s and most of the 1980s, winning the first category title and the European Cup glory, but their glory days ended around 1990.

Despite enjoying the strong periods of nearly 20 years, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, they ruled the roost and felt like they would not go anywhere where I was in charge of Ir Alex Ferguson.

However, since the Scots set out, United have fallen dramatically, failing to win the league since 2013 and is often a laughing stock, but Liverpool has returned to the top and won two Premier League titles in the past five years.

Speaking in 2011, Giggs boldly insisted that Manchester United would never collapse and disappear like Liverpool after it became seemingly stupid in hindsight.

“Our managers aren’t just looking for this season. He’s buying players looking at a future that’s been increasingly successful over the past few years. He’s buying players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Anderson and Nani.

“Now we have our next batch, with Javier Hernandez, Rafael, Fabio da Silva, Gabriel Obertan and Chris Smallling all the young players we hope to get better in the coming years.

Giggs’ comments now seem stupid considering United’s dominance in the 1990s and 2000s have not won a Premier League title in 12 years.

Liverpool is currently on the street ahead of their rivals and excels under both Jurgencrop and Arne slots.

History shows that both the red and red demons are too big to disappear forever, and at some point there is everything that could potentially United come back again.

Liverpool was able to do as Giggs did years ago, without tempting fate.
