According to wa.de (via Sports Witness), Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Blunt will be tempted to join Newcastle in January. The Bundesliga believes it is “financially attractive” to sell the 29-year-old’s sales in the middle of the season. He can finish his contract next summer and leave the free transfer – Aston Villa also mentions a potential suitor.
Newcastle is keen to explore the German market for the next Nick Urtemade and has already seen positive signs from the young Tyneside striker.
Brandt is a top-level player with 48 caps in his name in Germany, so it’s easy to see why Hau is keen to take him to Newcastle.

In Trade, the midfielder of attackers, his versatility means he can do vast jobs, and Lars Ricken has recently praised him.
