Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim hopes to sign another goalkeeper to the club when the transfer window resumes in January.
They invested in Belgian goalkeeper Senne Ranmen, but the Portuguese manager is not sure the 23-year-old is already ready to start in the Premier League. According to Football Insider, they were able to consider signing another keeper in January. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Manchester United need a reliable goalkeeper right away.
Amorim doesn’t trust Senne Lammens
“Amorim is still on goalkeeper,” Mick Brown told Soccer Insider.
“He wasn’t happy with how Bayindir performed. I’m told he doesn’t trust Lammens to go straight to the first XI yet.
“It’s ridiculous in itself, so I can’t understand why he gave the green light to sign a goalkeeper who doesn’t think is enough to play.”
Andre Onana was sent on loan and Altay Bayindir was pretty mediocre. It will be interesting to see if Rammen is being given more opportunities in the coming weeks. There is no doubt that he is a high quality player with a bright future. He will be desperate to prove his quality in the Premier League. He may be able to establish himself as a key player for Manchester United.
Man United needs to improve other areas
Signing another goalkeeper in January makes little sense. Manchester United also needs to improve other areas of their team, and signing the Keeper now is not a priority. They need to ensure that Belgians are integrated into their starting lineup over the next few weeks. There is no doubt that he could develop into a key player for the club.
Goalkeepers also look forward to regular opportunities. He is not at Manchester United to sit on the bench. He is eager to play more often. It will be interesting to see how things develop over the next few weeks.
