West Ham United have appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager, and Martin Allen believes they can drop Lucas Paketa from the team after what he did against Everton.
The Brazilian midfielder was about to be sent to Vitaly Mikorenko with his playful effect. Allen believes his play may not work with his newly appointed manager.
From Nuno to his disciple Lucas Paketa?
He said: “I didn’t like it, to be honest with you.
“That is the manager deals with him to explain that West Ham doesn’t want to play that way to send someone out.
“I thought he played well with Everton, but that was what Nuno pulled him into his office.
“He closed the door one-on-one, showed him a clip, he grabbed his face and then he hit a rib. That’s how he plays in South America. It’s not what the referees want in the Premier League, and I don’t think West Ham fans like it either.
Paqueta is a key player
Nuno recently dropped James Ward Prowse from the West Ham team. He evaluates whether the midfielder is suitable for his style of play before deciding on his future.
Wordprow is totally disappointed with the situation. He hopes to play regularly at this stage of his career, but the change in manager has made life difficult for him at the London Club.
It will be interesting to see if the newly appointed West Ham manager has decided to discipline Paketa because of his current attitude. The Brazilian is a key player for West Ham and dropping him is not an option. It is still unknown how the situation will develop.
West Ham has had a disappointing season and needs a quality player to get back strong. The Brazilians become important players to them, and they need him for their resurrection.
