Last week or so was good for Arsenal.
First, Liverpool dropped points to Crystal Palace in the Premier League, and then, thanks to their own last-minute goals, Mikel Arteta’s team defeated Newcastle United to capitalize.
On top of that, Gunner scored three more points and clean sheets in the Champions League, but he didn’t score, but that was another game where Viktor Gyoker looked like the top-level striker he wanted.
Finally, another key Arsenal player appears to have found some real shapes behind, too, who could help the Swedish striker reach Erling Haaland-esque figures by the end of the season.
Gyoker compared to Haaland last season
The first thing to note is that this article does not suggest that Gyoker is on the same level as Haaland. That would be pretty ridiculous.
However, there is no reason to believe that at some point this season the Swedes have made themselves a hot streak and have not been able to match his numbers during that period.
After all, while he played in a much weaker league last season, the Stockholm-born star was a goalscore monster in Sports CP.
For example, in 52 appearances in the Portuguese costume, totaling 4,248 minutes, he was able to score an astounding 54 goals and provide 13 assists.
That would be an incredible average of 1.28 goals engagement per game or 1.28 goals engagement every 63.40 minutes. If it’s not a world-class rate of return, then there’s nothing.

Due to his efforts, the Manchester City striker scored 34 goals and five assists in a total of 48 minutes.
It’s a very impressive average of goal involvement every 1.23 games or one game every 103.64 minutes.
Currently, the opposite level is a clear caveat to these numbers, but given his improvements to the last few games, his physicality, and his incredible shot power, there is no reason why Gyoker couldn’t rival Haaland’s proper service.
Fortunately, anyone who could become the main provider of this service appears to be back on the form.
Arsenal star that can help Gyoker reach Haaland numbers
The great news for Arteta this season is that teams Ebebeki Eze, Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke don’t have enough players to offer Gyoker a chance.
But in this case, Martin Odegard is the most important player this season for the Swedes to support their fellow Scandinavian Scandinavian rivals.
Now, there’s no doubt that the Gunners captain had a poor campaign last year, but it’s easy to forget that he was nominated for a club player in the last two seasons.
Additionally, Norway International was battling ankle injuries, which clearly had an impact on his ability to play later in the season.
Anyway, the “world-class” midfielder called former Arasenal star Paul Mason appears to be back at his mercury best at this point.
For example, his cameo from the bench with Newcastle United last week was very impactful, with his lasting pass leading to Declan Rice’s cross, which ultimately brought Mikel Merino’s equalizer.
He then put what he was in from the start and could have been the best performance for the club in quite some time.
Dubbed by content creator Connor Hamm, the “sensational” international was on the pitch and fed attackers, particularly gyoker, to a constant stream of ball on top, giving the ball flow to the backline and latching.
In fact, during his 95-minute action, the 26-year-old produced an incredible number of expected assists of 0.93, which ultimately paid off when Buka Yosaka dug a great ball between the goalkeeper’s legs.

Ultimately, Gyoker may not be as good a striker as Haaland, but when he plays at this time with this Arsenal team and Odegaard player, he may be able to match his output for a period of time.
