Man Utd managed to replace Amorim with “one of the best coaches in the world”

It’s the same old story at Manchester United – even Saturday’s victory can’t hide it.

United, seven games of the Premier League season, have already lost three times, being dumped from the Carabao Cup by League 2 side Grimsby Town.

There were definitely signs of progress, but it was a familiar story to the Red Devils.

Reuben Amorim has since moved from Portugal, leaving Lisbon, where he sports the two-row Champions, and has done a big job at Old Trafford.

And all the united persuasions want to see the Portuguese tactician bring it together, but he spends most of his time renting on a hot seat.

The latest in Amorim’s Man Utd Future

“What’s tormenting me is not about losing my job, I’m about losing my game,” that’s what Amorim said at a pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Sunderland in the Premier League.

He addressed his previous reporters, vehemently defending his system and wearing passion on his sleeves, emphasizing his ability to flourish in the Premier League.

At the very least, Amorim spoke openly about the situation with him and the man United. He knows things need to change, he knows the results were not good enough, and has won 19 out of 50 games at the helm.

Ir Jim Ratcliffe, at least externally, is fully supported by a 40-year-old, but it cannot continue like this. The results need to be changed quickly. After an international break in October, if it proves the same, Ineos may bite a bullet and end Amorim’s stay.

Many candidates have already been assigned, and there are candidates who may hit the fans especially if they are curious.

Man Utd can sign a more radical coach than Amorim

Manchester United. It’s by no means normal. “Stop it, ignored, but never ignored” is more than just a mantra. That’s true, and the club needs a great personality with tactics proven to work in the Premier League.

With this in mind, Roberto des Erbi may be the perfect coach to take a hot seat at the Theatre of Dreams, who previously impressed him as manager of Brighton & Hove Albion before leaving in 2024 and joining Marseille.

Last season, the owner-based tactician led Marseille to a second-place finish in League One, previously falling into the eighth place conclusion. They are third in the season and have won four from six outings.

According to forwarding insider Graeme Bailey, De Zerbi has been so many of Man United’s finalist “If and When” decided to move on from Amorim.

Deserbi, 46, may introduce a more traditional 4-2-3-1 formation than Amorim’s controversial three-back lineup, but he is certainly more radical than most.

He has a fan for Pep Guardiola. He praised Italy’s “unique” style of football, saying that he “dominates the ball in a way that hasn’t been in a long time.”

Finishing, the Manchester City boss made quite a claim, saying he was “one of the most influential managers of the past 20 years.”

Marseille of De Zerbi, a complex and keenly well-known manager, completed more passes (3092) on Rig 1 last season than the capital (3092).

After all, he actually proved himself in the Premier League, contributing to taking the Brighton side, which has a reputation for engaging football after promotion, and then shaping them into something high-end and sustainable and competitive in the division.

It’s obvious to see why he has PEP fans as only Man City has completed more passes than Segal throughout the 2023/24 campaign. If De Zerbi arrives at Man United and gets adjustments from the low-performing Redman, there’s no reason this won’t be the style of football to get the club into the spotlight.

Last season, Man United finished fifth on the Premier League pass chart, completing 15,931 overall campaign. FBREF also revealed that Brighton had achieved a total of 56.8 for XG (expected target) that year, but United only had a 52.6 hit in the 2024/25 campaign.

De Zerbi, who has been described as “one of the best coaches in the world” by the Stade Velodrome players, may be somewhat fundamental in his tactical vision, but he has proven himself in the Premier League and has earned the admiration and respect of the heavyweight division.

This is what Man United needs. Amorim may be a thinker on the left field, but he is about to attach a square peg into a round hole. It looks like the best for all involved at this stage.
