A “genius” similar to Brian Claff, the top candidate for Ibrox’s job with Gerrard

  • Stephen Gerrard holds positive discussion about returning to the Rangers
  • Sean Dych and Gerrard become another top candidate for the Rangers

The Glasgow Rangers have made the “genius” comparable to legendary Brian Claff, along with former Jars manager Stephen Gerrard, the top candidate for Ibrox’s vacancies.

Stephen Gerrard holds positive discussion about returning to the Rangers

The Rangers are currently looking for a fourth manager in 2025, but the 49ers Enterprises’ transfer period for Russell Martin is only 123 days.

Martin was fired by the Rangers in Sunday’s match against the Scottish Premiership vs. Falkirk, with the Jars only 8 points in the seven league games.

The Rangers have only recorded one league title during this period, with President Andrew Cavena and Vice President Parag Malate already beginning the process of recruiting Martin’s replacement.

Gerrard is one of the names that has a big connection to his move to Ibrox. He spent three years in Glasgow before departing for Aston Villa, winning the Rangers’ only Scottish Premiership title in the last 14 years.

The Rangers are reportedly already in positive negotiations with Gerrard for a sensational return, but negotiations are considered complicated.

However, it has been revealed that Gerrard is not the only finalist for the Rangers, but that one manager has joined the top of Ibrox’s hopeful list.

Sean Dych and Gerrard become another top candidate for the Rangers

The Rangers want to act quickly and appoint a new manager as soon as possible, according to the Scottish Daily Mail broadcast by Ibrox News.

Like Gerrard, Sean Dysch is said to be another top candidate for the Rangers, with former manager Everton hoping to move to Ibrox.

Daichi, known as an “absolute genius,” has been away from work since January after leaving the Toffies, where manager David Moyes took over.

The 54-year-old, who plays in the 4-2-3-1 system, has extensive experience in England at Burnley, and during his time at Clartes, he was even compared to former Derby County and Nottingham Forest manager Claff by former winger Michael Kitry.

“When I was in Burnley, Diesch spoke a lot about what happened at Nottingham Forest. I think he was a player on the youth team, but he played a bit of a role under (Brian) Claff. He just talked about how Klaff was as a manager, how he loved to work and keep things simple. That’s also visible from Diesch’s management.”

“I think there are similarities because he (Dish) clearly incorporates pieces of every manager he played below. You can often be overwhelmed by trying to get the most out of the tactics, positioning, and players’ ability, but I think Dish is very good at keeping that simple.”

“My favorite thing about him is that he never gets too good and not too bad. If he loses Saturday’s game 0-3, he won’t get mentally depressed and lets him play on Sunday. But at the same time, if he wins 3-0 and plays really well, he’s not saying he’s great. He keeps his status quo and that consistency is permeating in his team.”

At first glance, if this latest claim is accurate, it is quite possible that Gerrard’s manager Diesh will lead the Rangers after the international break against Dundee United at Ibrox on October 18th.
