Real Madrid are in touch with Erling Haaland’s camp to assess the possibility of a major move for the Manchester City striker.

As first reported in my Daily Briefing exclusive report, Los Blancos could have ‘huge’ money to spend next summer as they could sell Vinicius Junior to the Saudi club for up to €250 million.

So far, City have made it clear they do not want to sell Haaland, and the Norwegian international has no intention of forcing his exit from the Etihad Stadium.

Still, my sources don’t expect this talk to go away and Real are unlikely to give up on this ambitious target who could form a dream partnership up front with Kylian Mbappé.

Haaland, 25, only recently signed a new contract until 2034 and City are in control of Haaland’s situation.

So Madrid will certainly need a huge amount of money to convince City to sell him, and the player himself will also need to push for a move.

There is currently no sign of that happening, but it will be interesting to see if Los Blancos are able to get inside Haaland’s head in the coming months.

Still, funding the move would certainly require a huge sale of Vini Jr. to be completed, and even that is not guaranteed.

Will Erling Haaland replace Vinicius Junior?

If Vinicius were to leave the Bernabéu, a serious deal would certainly be needed to replace him in Xabi Alonso’s team.

With the former Borussia Dortmund player currently alongside some of the best players in the world, Haaland’s arrival would be a major statement.

Haaland has an incredible 136 goals in just 155 games for City, and City will do everything they can to ensure he enjoys his best years in Manchester.
