Report: Leicester plan to raid Ligue 1 in January to sign 29-year-old midfielder

Leicester City are hoping to strengthen their midfield unit with the signing of Glen Kamara from France’s Stade Rennes.

They will also face competition from Ipswich Town, as reported by French publication Foot Mercato. It will be interesting to see where the 29-year-old midfielder ends up.

Leicester could use Glen Kamara

Rennes signed the player for a transfer fee of around 10 million euros, but are prepared to sell him at a significant loss. He could be acquired for a transfer fee of just 3 million euros. It will be interesting to see if Leicester City can get a deal over the line.

He could be a useful acquisition for them. Signing him at his reported asking price could be a bargain in the long run. Kamara aims to play regularly at a high level and a move to the Championship could be interesting for him.

Ipswich Town could also be an interesting opportunity for the player. It remains to be seen what he will decide.

Leicester will aim to strengthen their squad during the January period and perform at a high level this season. They are aiming to return to the top flight and need to continue to improve their team. Adding a quality midfielder would be ideal for them.
