Emmanuel Dennis has been linked with a move to West Ham United in recent weeks.
However, the Daily Mail reports that manager Nuno Espirito Santo has given up on signing the 27-year-old attacker, who is currently a free agent. The player released his contract with Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window. But he hasn’t been able to find a club yet.
Where will Emmanuel Dennis end up?
Watford are also interested in signing him. It remains to be seen where he will end up. Dennis worked under Nuno at Nottingham Forest and the new West Ham manager knows him well.
It is clear that he is reluctant to join the 27-year-old at the London club. West Ham need more quality and depth in their attacking line, but the 27-year-old has not been at his best for some time. He has performed extremely well since joining Watford in 2021. Before joining Nottingham Forest, he managed to score 10 goals in 35 games for Watford. However, he failed to make an impression at Nottingham Forest.
Dennis was poor for a while.
There is no doubt that his signing would not have been overwhelming for West Ham. They should aim higher and it will be interesting to see if they can bring in suitable reinforcements in the coming weeks.
They need to consider signing a reliable goalscorer and quality wide player to add unpredictability to their attack going forward.
West Ham have had a very disappointing season this season and Graham Potter has already been shown the door. Nuno is expected to turn things around in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see if he can get the team firing on all cylinders again.
