Liverpool have had a very difficult few weeks, having lost four games in a row in all competitions. The latest result came during Man United’s 2-1 win at Anfield on Sunday, a particularly painful outcome for everyone associated with the reigning Premier League champions.

This result follows defeats against Crystal Palace, Galatasaray (Champions League) and Chelsea, and leaves them trailing Arsenal by four points in the Premier League standings. That’s why there’s now more attention on Arne Slot’s situation.

According to Mick Brown, Liverpool are not thinking about Slot’s future at the moment (via Football Insider). However, the situation may change if the situation continues.

“Any team would be worried if they lost four games in a row. Slott has done a great job since Jurgen Klopp took over. They won the league last season and did very well and I think they’re still a good team. He’s said the right things in the media, but given the recent drop in form and performance, some people may not be happy, especially after a big game like the United game where you always want to win.”

“As always when you run a club of Liverpool’s size, you expect to win every game, so just losing four games in a row is not enough. I’m sure the fans understand that, and so does the board, and will be hoping for a turnaround sooner rather than later.”

“Sometimes it’s difficult, and sometimes things start to go down and you don’t quite understand why. And things don’t seem to be going well for Liverpool at the moment. They’ll definitely bounce back and get back to the form they used to have. I’m sure of that, but maybe the manager needs it sooner or later or he’ll be under pressure.”

Liverpool’s next two games are against Eintracht Frankfurt and Brentford, and Slott will be keen for his team to win both. If neither side wins, the pressure on the Dutchman will continue to mount.
