Danny Rolle gives Rangers players six-word warning before Kilmarnock

Manager Danny Rolle warned his players that they had “given us a lot of information” after Rangers’ 3-0 defeat at Brann in the Europa League on Thursday.

The 36-year-old head coach replaced Russell Martin on Monday but was unable to make his dream debut in Norway. Emil Kornvig opened the scoring five minutes before half-time, Jakob Sorensen added a second goal 55 minutes later, and Noah Holm scored the third goal in the 79th minute to give the home team a comfortable victory.

As pressure continues to mount on chief executive Patrick Stewart and sporting director Kevin Thelwell, Rangers writer and podcaster David Edgar called for their sacking immediately after the game.

Rangers are bottom of the 36-team table as they look to visit Kilmarnock in the William Hill Premiership on Sunday.

Mr. Roll warns players who lost to Bran

Rolle appeared to issue a warning to the players who took part in Thursday’s humiliation, telling Rangers TV that they had “gave us a lot of information” but they did not meet the required standards.

“We have high standards for Rangers but we fell short there and you can see where we are at the moment.

“I think that game gave me a lot of information. My job now is to find a solution as soon as possible.”

However, the new manager has been given responsibility for the future with more than two months left until he has the chance to change teams in the January transfer window. “I have to develop the players and improve. I have to develop the group and improve. This is what I have to do. This is my job. I have to develop the players and improve. This is my job.”

“We played teams that were organized, aggressive and did the fundamentals right, and we didn’t.

“But my job is to reinvigorate them, give them solutions and prepare them for Sunday.”

Ally McCoist has told talkSPORT that he struggles to commentate on matches involving his former club.

“The three teams Rangers played[in the Europa League]were average,” the Ibrox legend said on Friday morning.

“To be brutally honest, I was depressed the whole time last night through this whole debacle. I actually feel sorry for the manager. I don’t know what he’s going to do. Maybe he can improve them in terms of organization.”

“But I don’t think the team has the level of improvement needed to even move up to the domestic league. They are a long way from there.”

Gers will be looking for their second league win of the season when they host Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon. If Hearts beat Celtic with an early kick-off, they could be 16 points off the pace at the start of the match.
