Tottenham are not the only club targeting McTominay, with Newcastle and Barcelona also showing strong interest.

Although a January move is considered unlikely, the paper claims a summer move remains a possibility, with McTominay said to be open to new opportunities should the right project arise.
Napoli are aware of the growing interest in their star midfielder and are already planning to begin contract extension negotiations in January.
The Serie A champions want to keep him tied down until 2030, with the new contract expected to include a significant release clause.
Scott McTominay has had a great run since joining Napoli.
McTominay has been in the spotlight since joining Napoli, quickly becoming a fan favorite and one of the team’s most consistent performers.
The Scottish midfielder played a key role in Napoli’s title-winning campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists in all competitions last season, impressive figures for a central midfielder.
His performance earned him a nomination for the prestigious Ballon d’Or 2025 award, ranking him 18th.
McTominay, currently active in Serie A, is said to be happy with Napoli and has no intention of pushing for a move.
But if Spurs, Barcelona or Newcastle make serious progress next summer, it could create one of the most interesting transfer battles of 2026.
